Job Title: Associate - Student Housing, Value & Risk Advisory
Location: Bristol, UKWhat this job involves:
- Undertaking valuations and assignments for Student Housing assets and portfolios, working alongside both the Value & Risk Advisory teams in the UK and the wider European Value & Risk Advisory teams.
- Developing Student Housing relationships and accounts on a local, national and cross-border level.
- Supporting the delivery of revenue targets for the sector, with a focus on business development.
- Managing valuation models, best-use approach and reporting templates for Student Housing and contributing to the OpRE Valuation Model group.
- Liaising directly with clients and managing the coordination of assignments from start to finish.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to key clients and building a strong personal network as well as taking an active role in the team’s Client Relationship Management activities.
- Taking an active part in identifying and executing the technology and data strategy.
- Undertaking site inspections throughout the UK.
- Supervising more junior members of the team.
Desired skills and experience for this role:
- Strong Excel spreadsheet skills;
- a high level of numeracy, with comfort in handling large volumes of data;
- clear, written expression of professional advice in emails and reports;
- strong interpersonal skills;
- effective organizational ability;
- the ability to juggle priorities on multiple projects and to work under pressure;
- exceptional attention to detail;
- willingness to display commitment to achieving results for clients and deliver performance for JLL;
- a strong team player.
- sufficient experience in a valuation and consultancy role in a professional advisory firm;
- ideally experience in the student housing sector but not essential;
- understanding of the funding and charging process; and
- an empathy with the values and purpose of the student housing sector.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in real estate;
- MRICS qualification;
- RICS Registered Valuer; and
- Demonstrable understanding of, and interest in, the residential market and the student housing sector.
